Aka what to expect when you’re applying to Advance B2B. 🙋🏻♀️
Let’s start with the basics. To us, every recruitment process is a two-way conversation. As much as you’re trying to impress us, we’re also trying to impress you. 🥰
That’s why we want you to meet as many advancers as possible. During the process, you should get a realistic picture of what it’s like to work with us.
Even though the number of interview rounds may feel overwhelming to some, we’re hoping that you’ll use every opportunity to figure out if we’re a good fit. Because you know what? We’ll be doing the same.
And if you’re still interested in working with us, keep reading.
1️⃣ We accept applications through our recruitment platform. While you’re at it, we’ll also ask you to answer a few questions that are relevant to the role you’re applying for.
2️⃣ If we think you might be a good fit for the role, we’ll ask you to come in for an interview. At this point, you’ll normally meet two advancers: your future team lead and the head of the business unit.
3️⃣ If the first interview didn’t scare you off and we still think you might be our gal or guy, we’ll give you a small homework assignment, which you’ll get to present to approximately 4 of your future coworkers.
4️⃣ When you’ve sailed through the presentation with flying colors, you may or may not meet one or both of our founders. It depends on their mood. Don’t ask.
5️⃣ Aaaaand if you’re still with us (look at you bossing all those interview rounds), you’ll get to meet your future team. This is your opportunity to tell batman jokes and ask stupid questions (don’t worry, we encourage both).
... and now for the drum roll 🥁 If you liked your team and they liked you, we’ll ask you to sign a piece of paper and come hang out with us 5 days a week. 🎉
We’ll let you know that we’ve received your application within one business day. Within the next 7 days, we’ll let you know about the next steps in the process.
After each interview round, you’ll hear from us in 2 business days. While we may not always have a clear timeline for the recruitment process, you’ll quickly find out whether there’s another round waiting for you.
You’ll never get an automated email from us: we’ll communicate our decisions personally. We’re also happy to give and receive feedback to our applicants.
We’ve done our fair share of stuffing up before and that’s why we wanted to jot down an explicit promise to our fantastic applicants. But because we’re only human, it’s possible that we screw up again.
If that happens to you, we hope that you call us out on it. After that, we’ll send you a 50€ gift card to Suomalainen kirjakauppa. (We love books, and obviously we hope that so do all our applicants.) 📚
